International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities encourages us to think critically about the world we live in:

  • Is it accessible?

  • Is it inclusive?

  • How can we make it better?

We must reflect on these questions and take meaningful action to build a society where everyone has the chance to thrive and be equally valued. For us, this day honours the significant contributions people with disabilities make across all areas of life, while also highlighting the ongoing work required to achieve true equality and inclusion.

It serves as a reminder that genuine inclusion means designing communities, workplaces, and services that welcome and support everyone.

There are many ways to volunteer in your community. Why not find one today that promotes inclusion and accessibility?
