World thinking day
Today is World Thinking Day, a moment to pause and think about others: friends, neighbours, and your wider community.
Take a few mindful minutes to reflect:
Who could use a kind word today?
How can your small actions ripple out to support others?
What gratitude can you hold for those around you?
At Freo Wellbeing, we love nurturing both self-care and community care. Today, let’s connect inner reflection with outward kindness - thinking of others is a simple but powerful way to create wellbeing for everyone.
World compliment day
Today is World Compliment Day, a gentle reminder of how words can lift hearts and strengthen community.
At Freo Wellbeing, we believe small acts of kindness - a genuine compliment, a smile, or a thoughtful word - can ripple through your day and the lives of those around you. Take a moment today to notice someone’s efforts, kindness, or presence, and share your appreciation
Try this today: say one kind thing to yourself and one to someone in your community and notice the positive energy it creates.
Compliments aren’t just for others. Giving yourself gentle recognition for your efforts, growth, or resilience is just as important. Reflection and gratitude are key parts of wellbeing.
Book Day: Nourish Your Mind and Spirit
Happy UK Book Day!
Today is all about celebrating the joy of reading, whether it’s escaping into a gripping novel, giggling at a funny story, or discovering something new about yourself.
At Freo Wellbeing, we know that books are a perfect companion for a mindful moment, a cozy break, or even a spontaneous adventure without leaving your chair. So why not treat yourself today? Curl up, brew your favourite tea, and get lost in a story… or maybe share one with a friend and spread the fun!
If you like, share a pic of your current read with us! Joy is contagious📚✨.
International Women’s Day
Today is International Women’s Day, a time to honour the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women everywhere.
At Freo Wellbeing, we stand in support of all women, including trans and non-binary people, and celebrate the richness and diversity of lived experiences. This day is about recognising inequalities, amplifying voices, and fostering a community where everyone is seen, valued, and supported.
Take a moment today to reflect, uplift someone, or engage in action that supports gender equality: whether that’s advocating for fair treatment, celebrating a friend’s achievements, or simply listening and learning. Every small act contributes to a more inclusive and compassionate world.
Why not use today to express your gratitude to a woman who inspires you, support a women-led business or community initiative in your area, or share knowledge and resources to empower and engage others?
International Day of Awesomeness: Celebrate YOU
Happy International Day of Awesomeness!
Today is all about recognising just how amazing you are: yes, YOU. Whether it’s nailing your morning coffee, surviving a tough week, or just being your fabulous self, it all counts
At Freo Wellbeing, we love a day that reminds us to celebrate little wins, big achievements, and everything in between. Take a moment to high-five yourself (or a friend), do something that makes you grin, or simply soak in a moment of pure joy.
If you like, share a photo, a shoutout, or a quirky “I’m awesome because…” moment with us and spread the good vibes far and wide!
International Happiness Day
Today is International Day of Happiness, a gentle reminder to notice what brings light into your life and the lives of those around you.
At Freo Wellbeing, we see happiness as more than a fleeting feeling. It grows through mindful presence, connection, and small acts of care. Can you bring happiness to someone close to you today? A kind word, a note, or a small gesture can brighten a day and ripple through your community.
You can also take a moment to reflect on what makes you happy. Writing it down every day can help you feel present, grounded, and grateful for the simple joys in life.
Happiness is a practice as much as it is a feeling, and even small mindful moments can create lasting wellbeing.
World Theatre Day:
At Freo Wellbeing, we believe theatre and performance can inspire more than just applause. They invite us to discover our own creativity, explore new perspectives, and connect with our emotions.
Why not take this opportunity to try something you’ve never experienced before? Look for a variety show, circus performance, or local theatre production in your area and let yourself be inspired.
Even small moments of playful creativity count. Try acting out a scene with friends, improvising a story, or simply noticing the stories unfolding around you.
Engaging with the arts can help you feel present, spark joy, and open new ways of seeing the world.
World Party Day
What if celebration was not about noise, but about connection?
World Party Day is a reminder that joy is not frivolous. It is medicine. In a world that moves fast and often feels heavy, choosing to celebrate can be an act of resistance, resilience and community care.
A party does not have to mean glitter cannons and crowded rooms. It can be a shared meal. A dance in your kitchen. A poetry night. A circle of friends speaking honestly. Music that moves you. Art that opens something in your chest.
At its heart, a party is collective energy. It is belonging. It is nervous systems softening together.
Today, ask yourself:
What would feel genuinely joyful?
Who would I like to share that with?
How can celebration support my wellbeing?
Joy is not a distraction from mental health. It is part of it.
World Health Day
World Health Day 2026 shines a light on Global Action for Universal Health Coverage. This is a day to reflect on the right of every person, everywhere, to access essential health services without facing financial hardship. Health is a shared responsibility and a fundamental human right.
We at Freo Wellbeing believe that wellbeing extends beyond the individual. It is about communities, systems, and societies that support everyone to thrive. onsider how your choices, actions, or advocacy can contribute to a fairer, healthier world. Whether it is learning about global health initiatives, supporting local wellbeing projects, or simply raising awareness, every action matters.
Health is not only about treating illness. It is about creating environments where people can flourish physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Today, honor your own health while also thinking about the bigger picture: a world where access to care, support, and wellbeing is truly for all.
World Art Day
World Art Day is a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the many ways art touches our lives. Art is not just something to look at. It is something to feel, to play with, and to let inspire us.
We at Freo Wellbeing know that engaging with art, whether creating or observing, is a powerful tool for mental health and emotional wellbeing. Painting a canvas, scribbling in a notebook, dancing to a song, or simply noticing beauty around you can help release tension, spark joy, and connect you to your inner self.
Today, embrace your creativity. Share your art with others, explore a new medium, or just spend a few moments noticing the colors, shapes, and rhythms in the world around you. There is no right or wrong. Art is about expression, connection, and the simple joy of making and experiencing something new.
Celebrate today by letting your imagination lead the way and honoring the artist within you.
Consciousness Day
Consciousness Day is an invitation to pause, to notice the world inside and around you. It is a gentle reminder that awareness is the gateway to connection with ourselves, with others, and with the world.
Today, try simply observing: the rise and fall of your thoughts, the rhythm of your breath, the colors and sounds around you. Ask yourself:
What do I notice when I slow down?
What patterns am I carrying?
What sparks curiosity?
Awareness is not about judgment or perfection. It is about showing up fully, even to the quiet corners of your mind. Through conscious living, we nurture mental clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of presence in every moment.
Consciousness is a practice. It is a dance between the inner and outer worlds. Today, take one small action to live more consciously, whether through mindful breathing, a walk, journaling, or simply noticing the sensations of the present.
International Dance Day
International Dance Day is here to celebrate movement, music, and pure joy. Dance is a way to wake up your body, release tension, and let your mind feel lighter. Even a few minutes of moving to a song you love can lift your mood and spark creativity.
Turn today into a little adventure. Play your favourite track at home and move however feels good, or pop by a local dance studio and try a class you have never done before. Invite a friend and share the fun together. Dancing connects us to ourselves, to others, and to the simple pleasure of being alive.
We at Freo Wellbeing see dance as a celebration of life. There are no rules, no perfect steps, and no audience required. Today, feel the music, let your energy flow, and notice how your body and mind celebrate along with you.

Every child experiences emotions and challenges in their own way, and providing safe, understanding spaces can have a significant and lasting impact.
This year’s theme “This is My Place”, encouraging self-awareness, resilience, and connection is an opportunity to reflect, start conversations, and ensure that children feel seen, heard, and supported.
At Freo Wellbeing, we provide professional children’s therapy services and tailored support designed to meet the needs of young people.

National Pizza Day
Happy National Pizza Day!
Today is the perfect excuse to enjoy more cheese than usual and feel completely justified. Whether you toss your own dough at home or grab a slice from a local pizzeria, it is a chance to share laughter, toppings, and maybe even a friendly debate over pineapple.
Why don’t you call a friend, share a slice, or surprise someone with a pizza just because? We at Freo Wellbeing think that supporting your local pizza maker today is a wonderful way to spread joy and spend a good day in your community. Food has a way of bringing people together and creating moments that are both delicious and playful.
Today is a reminder to laugh, connect, and enjoy every cheesy bite.
World Play Your Ukulele Day
Today is World Play Your Ukulele Day, a reminder that music can be playful, welcoming and shared. The ukulele invites curiosity and creativity, whether you know many songs or only a single chord. Playing music can support our mental wellbeing, help us slow down and bring people together.
Why don’t you use today as an invitation to reach out to a friend, a loved one or your local community and make some music together? Today is the day to dust off an old instrument, book a course, join a local group or connect online and play along with others. Let yourself play without pressure and follow what feels good.
A few simple sounds can be enough to create joy and connection.
International Day of Education
Education is more than learning facts or passing exams; it is a foundation for opportunity, equality, and a brighter future for everyone. Today is a reminder that access to education is not the same for all, and that knowledge has the power to transform lives and communities. Every classroom, every teacher, and every learner contributes to a world where curiosity, understanding, and growth are possible.
If you want to make a difference, look for opportunities close to home. Volunteer at local tutoring programs, support community libraries, donate books or supplies, or get involved in initiatives that help children and adults access learning in your area.
Even small actions can help ensure more people have the chance to experience the joy of learning and make education truly accessible to all.
Celebration of Life Day
Every small celebration, every smile, every bit of wonder adds color to the world, and today is your invitation to make life sparkle a little brighter.
Today is all about cheering for life itself, noticing the laughter, the creativity, the small victories, and the moments that make your heart lift. Celebrate the friends who make you smile, the art that moves you, the kindness you see around you, and the little surprises that brighten your days.
At Freo Wellbeing, we believe life is meant to be enjoyed and shared, so take a moment to dance, draw, call someone who makes you laugh, or simply do something that fills you with joy.
National Popcorn Day
Popcorn is one of those little joys that somehow makes life feel lighter.
Share a bag with friends while watching a film that makes you laugh until your cheeks hurt. Or go solo, grab a new movie you have never seen, and let yourself get lost in the story.
Popcorn comes in all sorts of flavors, just like the ways we enjoy art, movies, and time with others. Today is about trying something different, noticing the small pleasures, and celebrating moments of curiosity and connection. Sometimes the simplest things, like a warm snack and a good story, can remind us how sweet everyday life can be.
Make Your Dream Come True Day
Dreams are invitations to care for yourself and explore what truly matters. Today is a gentle reminder that it is okay to move at your own pace, and that small, thoughtful actions often make the biggest difference.
Notice one thing you want to bring closer to reality this year. Break it into small steps. What can you do today, this week, or this month to move toward it? Be kind to yourself along the way. Progress does not have to be perfect, and pauses are part of the journey.
If your dreams involve improving your health or mental well-being, consider reaching out for support. You can schedule an appointment with us, join a wellness retreat, or take a quiet moment to breathe, reflect, and reset. Every small act of care and attention brings you closer to the life you hope to create.
International THANK YOU day
At Freo Wellbeing we want to use today to say THANK YOU because every day is made brighter by the people around us.
Thank you for the friends who listen without judgment and hold space for us.
Thank you for the neighbors who check in and create a sense of community.
Thank you for the healthcare workers who care for others with patience and dedication.
Thank you for the teachers and mentors who guide and inspire.
Thank you for the artists who share beauty in everyday life, reminding us to slow down and notice.
Thank you for the volunteers and organizers who bring people together.
Thank you for every individual who chooses kindness, empathy, and connection in small but meaningful ways.
Why don’t you take a moment today to speak your gratitude aloud, write it down, or simply hold it in your heart? Each thank you is a gentle reminder that we are all part of something bigger, and that noticing the care and goodness around us makes life feel warmer, closer, and more joyful.
World Braille Day
Today is World Braille Day, a moment to reflect on accessibility, inclusion, and the ways people engage with the world around them. Braille allows millions to access information, participate in education, and enjoy literature and art independently. Recognizing its importance reminds us that accessibility is a vital part of building connected communities.
Take time today to consider how you can support those around you.
This could be through raising awareness, learning basic Braille, or advocating for more accessible spaces in your community. Thoughtful attention to the experiences of others strengthens our connections and enriches the environments we all share.
New Year's Day
A fresh page, still warm from being turned.

There’s time for everything.

May you find strength in challenges, peace in moments of quiet, and connection in the people around you. Here’s to new opportunities, fresh hopes, and the courage to embrace whatever comes next.
Let’s make this year one of growth, compassion, and happiness together!

Today, on Christmas Day, we joyfully embrace the warm, familial moments and festive traditions that this special season brings. It's a day when homes are decorated with twinkling lights and Christmas trees, and the air is filled with the joyful spirit of giving and togetherness. National Hot Chocolate Day
Let the warmth of your drink melt away the chill and noise of the outside world.
Sometimes, taking a quiet moment to enjoy a hot chocolate is the gentlest form of self-care. So why not make your perfect cup of hot chocolate today?
Our favourite way: more is more! Start with rich, creamy cocoa. Pile on the whipped cream. Then add a mountain of rainbow sprinkles. Add a flake or two for good measure.
Snuggle up in your warmest blanket, press play on your favourite rom-com, and let the chocolatey goodness melt away the chill outside and the noise inside. Sometimes, a quiet moment with a hot chocolate is the gentlest form of self-care. So today's the day to make your perfect cup of hot chocolate magic!
Happy Hot Chocolate Day Everyone :)
Human Rights Day
Human Rights Day serves as a solemn reminder that every individual is entitled to fundamental freedoms and rights, regardless of their background or circumstances. It encourages us to reflect deeply on the principles of dignity, justice and equality on which these rights are based. Although progress has been made, the day also emphasises our ongoing collective responsibility to uphold and protect human rights worldwide. Human Rights Day is a time to renew our commitment to fairness and respect, and to ensure that everyone can live free from discrimination, oppression and injustice.
Postal Workers Day
Postal Workers Day in the UK is the perfect time to send a big, heartfelt thank you to all the amazing people who keep our letters and parcels moving day after day! Rain or shine, they’re the friendly faces making sure we stay connected with loved ones and receive those special deliveries that brighten our days. Their dedication and hard work keep our communities buzzing and our spirits lifted. So here’s to our fantastic postal workers: today we celebrate you and the important role you play in bringing us all a little closer!
Grief Awareness Week
We’ve chosen today to raise awareness for Grief Awareness Week, which runs from December 2nd to 8th.
This week is dedicated to recognising the many ways grief can affect us and the importance of making space for those experiences.
Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and it can show up in unexpected ways: emotionally, physically, and mentally. Remember that support and understanding can make a big difference.
If you're going through a tough time, or helping someone who is, please know that you're always welcome to reach out to us. We're here for you!
International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities encourages us to think critically about the world we live in:
Is it accessible?
Is it inclusive?
How can we make it better?
We must reflect on these questions and take meaningful action to build a society where everyone has the chance to thrive and be equally valued. For us, this day honours the significant contributions people with disabilities make across all areas of life, while also highlighting the ongoing work required to achieve true equality and inclusion.
It serves as a reminder that genuine inclusion means designing communities, workplaces, and services that welcome and support everyone.
There are many ways to volunteer in your community. Why not find one today that promotes inclusion and accessibility?
National Illustration Day
National Illustration Day is here!
It's time to celebrate the amazing art of bringing ideas to life through drawings, sketches and visual storytelling in every line and stroke, and the joy it brings to our everyday lives. Why not take a moment to admire your favourite illustrators, try your hand at a quick sketch, or share an image that inspires you?
If you're in the UK this November, here are some events and exhibitions showcasing the world of illustration:
Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration (London): Opening in 2025, this centre will be the UK's first national museum dedicated to illustration. It will house Sir Quentin Blake’s archive of 40,000 works and feature exhibitions from renowned illustrators like Raymond Briggs and Jo Brocklehurst.
London International Animation Festival (28 Nov – 7 Dec): Held at the Barbican Centre, this festival celebrates animated storytelling with screenings, workshops, and talks from leading animators.
Pictoplasma London (6 Nov): A one-day conference at the Royal College of Art focusing on character design and illustration, featuring artist talks and animation screening
Too far away? Why not go and check out what's happening in your local community, or see if you can take part in an online session.
Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving may not be widely celebrated in the UK, but we can still embrace its spirit of gratitude and togetherness. Traditionally held on the fourth Thursday of November in the US, Thanksgiving marks a time to give thanks for the harvest and blessings of the past year.
It’s a wonderful reminder to pause, appreciate what we have, and share kindness with those around us. Why not invite your friends and loved ones over for a shared meal, whether big or small, and enjoy the simple joy of being together? This season, let’s celebrate gratitude in our own way and spread a little extra kindness.
International Aura Awareness Day
International Aura Awareness Day is on the fourth Saturday of November every year. It was set up in 2002 to share more about the idea of auras, which are described as subtle energy fields that are believed to surround all living beings. Auras are thought to show a person's physical, emotional and spiritual state, with different colours representing different aspects of well-being.
Although there is little scientific evidence, practices such as meditation, energy healing and mindfulness are intended to balance and strengthen one's personal aura.
That's why today, we're going to focus on fostering self-awareness and inviting you to discover ways to nurture your overall mental and emotional wellbeing. Taking time to connect with yourself in this way can be a rewarding experience and can brings peace, clarity and renewed energy to your daily life.
World Philosophy Day
World Philosophy Day is all about taking a moment to wonder: about life, the world, and your place in it.
You don’t need to dive into big academic texts; just ask yourself something meaningful like, “What really matters to me?” or something light-hearted like, “If I could pause time, what would I do first?”
It’s a day to slow down and get curious, to reflect on your choices, your values, or even just the weirdness of everyday life.
Whether you journal, chat with a friend, or simply take a thoughtful walk, today is about enjoying the fun and freedom of thinking a little deeper. And remember, no one has all the answers. Half the joy is in asking the questions.
National Homemade Bread Day
It’s National Homemade Bread Day, the perfect reason to get your hands covered in flour and fill your home with that irresistible fresh-baked smell!
Whether you’re a pro at kneading or just hoping your loaf doesn’t turn into a brick, today’s about enjoying the fun (and tasty) side of baking. So dive in, don’t worry about the mess, and remember: a misshapen loaf still tastes delicious. After all, a little love and yeast go a long way!
Why not invite your friends over and share some salty butter on warm bread straight from the oven? And if you have a favourite recipe, we’d love to hear about it! Feel free to share it with us :).
World Kindness Day
World Kindness Day is a celebration of compassion, connection and the simple power of being kind. The wonderful thing about kindness is that it doesn't have to be grand or complicated. The best place to start is right where you are! Smile at a neighbour, hold the door open for someone, check in on a friend, or simply speak with patience and care. These small, everyday actions not only brighten someone else's day, they also support your own mental wellbeing. Kindness can reduce stress, build trust, and foster a sense of belonging. Even the simplest gestures can have a powerful impact on others and ourselves.
Starting today, why not challenge yourself to show intentional kindness to one stranger every day and see how it gradually lifts your own happiness and sense of connection.
Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week 2025 takes place from November 10th to 14th, and we’re using this first day to raise awareness and encourage reflection. Bullying can have a deep and lasting impact on mental health and self-worth, which is why it’s so important to understand what it looks like and how we can help prevent it. That’s why we encourage you to take a moment to explore resources online, learn more, and think about ways you can make a difference in your own environment.
Wanna talk about something? Contact us! We’re here to listen and support you whenever you need. :)
Stress Awareness Day
We all know how it is: Stress in daily life can feel like a heavy weight on our shoulders, especially when we feel overwhelmed, under pressure, or unable to meet demands. Whether it's fWannarom work, relationships, finances, or even day-to-day responsibilities, it's so hard to keep going. It can show up as worry, irritability, tension in the body, trouble sleeping, or feeling like there's never enough time. We all know that a little bit of stress can sometimes help motivate us, but too much of it for too long can affect our health and wellbeing. Learning to recognise and manage stress is a really important part of living a balanced, healthy life.
We really want to emphasise Stress Awareness Day because it's so important to shine a light on the realities of stress and its effects on our mental and physical wellbeing. Today is a chance to understand stress better, to see how it affects us and how we can deal with it.
Do you want to know more about how to deal with stress? Check out our Free Stress Management workshop: https://mailchi.mp/65a98395510b/iafa5dtdz3

Why not spend the evening enjoying a favourite film, taking a peaceful walk under the autumn skies, or simply treating yourself to something sweet? Whatever you do, remember that it's always refreshing to see the world through a different lens, even if only for one night!
International Artists' Day
International Artists Day celebrates creativity, passion, and expression, and highlights how important art is for mental health. Art isn’t just found in galleries or shows it’s everywhere around us if we take a moment to notice. From the patterns in nature to the small details of daily life, art helps us understand our feelings, heal, and connect with others. Engaging with art, whether by creating or simply appreciating it, can bring comfort and a sense of peace.
It allows us to express what words sometimes cannot and offers a way to explore our inner world.
Today, we celebrate not only artists but the power of art to inspire and support everyone.

World Menopause Day
World Menopause Day is all about raising awareness about the menopause and helping those going through this natural journey feel their best.
Menopause can bring a range of physical and emotional changes, and it's so important to understand the options for managing symptoms. This year's theme, "Menopause Hormone Therapy," is all about helping people understand hormone treatment and how it can help with common symptoms like hot flashes, mood changes, and sleep disturbances. We really hope that by shining a light on this topic today, we can encourage open, informed discussions and empower individuals to seek the care and support they deserve. By doing this, we can promote better health outcomes during this significant stage of life.
